Do you have a heart for teaching the littlest ones — from toddlers to kindergartners? A Bachelor of Science in our Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education degree program prepares you to positively impact the lives of our youth by filling the need for certified Birth-Primary teachers.
At University of the Cumberlands’ School of Education, we’re on a mission to educate future early childhood educators. We help working professionals like you develop into highly qualified, knowledgeable and caring birth-to-kindergarten teachers. We will prepare you for success in and out of the traditional classroom with courses in:
- Traditional disciplines such as literacy, art, math, social studies, music and science.
- Advanced areas including adaptive behaviors, special education and family involvement strategies
- The methods, materials, and pedagogical content knowledge needed to effectively teach children of all cultures, races, and abilities.
When you graduate, you will receive your bachelor’s degree as well as certification as a Birth-Primary Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education.
Blended Online Format
With the exception of required field/clinical and student teaching hours, this University of the Cumberlands program is offered online to give you the flexibility you need to pursue an early childhood teaching degree and the high-quality instruction and support system necessary to succeed.
